Program Costs
PLEASE NOTE: THESE FEES ARE CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW AND ARE PROVIDED HERE ONLY AS PROJECTED FEES NOT APPROVED FEES AT THIS POINT.
The following schedule of program fees applies to students in all GCAP programs: Current and Projected Program Fees. Your total costs will depend on the number of semesters you require to complete your program. Normally students complete the Master of Counselling program in 3.5 years (or 10 semesters), the Post-Masters Certificate in Counselling in 1.5 years (3 to 4 semesters), and the Post-Masters Certificate in 1 year (or 3 semesters).
All course materials are included with in the course tuition fees. However, the program fees do not cover the travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the summer institute or weekend schools.
All fee schedules are subject to change without notice. Program fees are non-refundable.
- Students who withdraw from a course within one month of the course start date will receive a refund on course tuition less a course withdrawal processing fee of $300. No tuition is refunded for course withdrawals after this date.
- Students who take additional courses as extra-to-program courses pay the additional per-course fee.
Note: Students in the Art Therapy Specialization follow the Current and Projected Program Fees schedule, but will take three less courses from GCAP (and therefore pay lower overall fees). However, these students will pay additional program fees to the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Please carefully review the Additional VATI Fees.
Students living outside Canada:
Both Canadian and international students living outside of Canada pay an additional $200 per course; however, there is no increase in program fees. This additional charge is intended to cover costs of shipping course materials and additional costs of service students internationally.
Continuing Fees
Program students are expected to maintain a minimum load of two courses per year. Students continuing in the program, whether currently taking courses or not, will pay the normal program fee installment until the program is completed. Students who complete partway through the year pay only for the relevant semesters.

*Note: Courses taken from the Campus Alberta Applied Psychology (CAAP) Consortium programs are subject to the letter of permission fee, not the transfer credit evaluation fee.
